Boating

The two best days for boat owners are the day they buy their watercraft and the day they sell it. I follow the logic but since I have never owned a boat, I cannot speak from experience. However, I recently found great satisfaction disposing of a boat owned by someone else, so that might count. As I mentioned previously, the trophy wife and I are tidying up the in-law’s place so it can be sold. Behind the shop was a 16-foot fiberglass boat carcass which I believe the father-in-law intended to modify and squeeze into his cargo trailer. His intentions were good, but the project remained dry docked for two decades with the sunshine devouring the fiberglass. Saturday afternoon we fork-lifted the boat into my hydraulic dump trailer before filling the remaining space with tools, trinkets and trash left over from the estate sale. I pulled a payload of nearly 3400 pounds to the landfill.

The dump was buzzing Monday morning. For safety’s sake I backed to the far end of the unloading zone near a couple discarded box springs and mattresses, remnants of some other estate sale. I pulled the tarp, straps, and end gate from my trailer and did a pre-flight walk around before pulling the hydraulic lever to dump the load. I worried the boat could become wedged in the trailer, but such was not the case. Powered by gravity, the boat shot out of the trailer and ricocheted off the mattresses as if it was catching a wake on its final cruise. It was then I noticed a single cab pickup had backed into my blind spot and the boat zipped past the surprised dumper, missing him by inches. All my treasures followed the boat to their final home, so I lowered the trailer bed, gathered my tarp and tie-downs, and drove home savoring the fact this might be my last load. Like selling a boat you no longer use, discarding useless junk feels good, and this brings me to my point.

President Biden is worse than a useless, UV-cracked boat baking in the sunshine because he is purposely destroying America. However, because there is no precedent, nor congressional will to remove the conspirator in chief from the Oval Office, voters cannot toss him in the landfill until 2024. However, this fall we can take away his motor and rudder by rejecting every Democrat along with every Liz Cheney RINO at every level of government. Anchors aweigh my boys.
