Not-So-Natural Disasters

In the reality series Fixer Upper, Chip and Joanna Gaines renovate old houses into showcase homes. The prequel to their series should be called Cleaner Upper, but it has never been produced. The trophy wife and I could audition for Cleaner Upper as we recently relocated 15 tons of goodies from the in-law s residence to the landfill. Now we are attacking our family ranch west of Parkman, Wyoming. My great, great grandparents homesteaded our place in 1887, so family members have been stuffing trinkets and tidbits in corners and closets for 135 years. This means I come from a long line of pack rats and because I have crossed with a French-Norwegian hybrid also from a hoarding heritage, there is no chance our descendants will ever be normal.

I mention this because last weekend while lugging junk up and down the stairs my cell phone kept buzzing flash-flood warnings. I thought it strange as a shower or two had passed through but nothing of Old Testament proportion. However, once we returned home the tributaries of the Yellowstone River blew over their banks just as the warnings predicted. Social media became flooded with videos showing houses and bridges being ripped from their foundations. Few lives have been lost but the damage is epic, and authorities are speculating this is a 1 in 500-year flood. Memorize the images of the houses floating downstream while I jump to a rarer, yet far more lethal event happening right before our eyes one we cannot see. Rather than receiving prime time coverage, this bigger disaster is being censored. What gives?

In early 2022 Scott Davison, the CEO of the insurance company, OneAmerica, released actuarial data showing a 40 percent increase in premature deaths in 18- to 64-year-olds in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2021. Insurance companies make bank on predicting when you are going to die, so this oddity could bankrupt their industry. To put this in perspective, a 10 percent increase in premature deaths would be a 1 in 200-year disaster. Therefore, a 40 percent increase in sudden death is statistically incomprehensible, certainly far rarer than a 1 in 500-year Yellowstone flood. Obituary columns in this paper have reported people in their 50s and 60s suddenly dropping dead for no apparent reason. What gives?

President Biden, his bureaucrats, big pharma, and healthcare elitists have lied about Covid and stroke poke dangers for two years. If you regret exposing your deltoid to experimental jabs, there are ivermectin based treatment protocols which may help un-slam that door. Like sandbagging the riverbank, it s no guarantee, but it might protect the house you built in the 500-year floodplain.
