Reparations

Because I grew up a country kid and in turn raised my children as country kids, I have a fitting and proper view of reality. Manual labor in the hot sun or in an arctic blast teaches we unwashed there are truths and absolutes. There are days you win and days you lose but you must do the best job you can with the assets you have at the time. You only lose if you quit. Thus, my younger years built the foundation for my political beliefs as a Christian, conservative, constitutionalist. My successes and failures are more due to my efforts and abilities than my sex or melanin content of my skin. Were I to believe the contrary, and embrace victimhood and covetousness, I would be a Democrat. Their nirvana will never be reached until they finally have all your stuff and for you to resist means you are a sexist, racist, transphobic, climate and science denier. They live in fantasyland. I offer this clear contrast between political beliefs because I am about to extend an olive branch across this great divide. I support reparations and here is why.

There are four players in America’s slave trade. The first are the traders who forced previously free people onto the slave ships. The second are the slaves themselves but this group is divided into two subcategories, those enslaved against their will and those who voluntarily loaded into the hold of the ship. The final category is those who profited from slave labor. Those most entitled to reparations are those most damaged with the cost of reparations borne by those who profited. If you are not feeling my bipartisan love just yet, let’s look at the numbers.

Actuarial experts, the insurance company’s bean counters, believe 800,000 American slaves died over the past two years due to complications from the safe and effective slave trade. Regardless this ballooning body count, those promoting slavery, the FDA, CDC, NIH, and WHO are still crowding innocent people onto the ships. Last week, the FDA authorized bivalent enslavement in babies as young as six months and this brings me to reparations.

The entire slave trade would have never started had it been a free-market enterprise where consumers paid out of pocket for something they wanted. Instead, the great plantations of Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson have stuffed their mattresses with over a trillion taxpayer dollars. They will never be able to relieve the suffering their greed has caused, but if there is any class of Americans due reparations it is those who sleeves were rolled up by force. Do you get my point?
