Sunrise in America

One sunrise run in April offsets the many not-so-wonderful runs in winter’s predawn darkness. April 28th was that run. Recent rains made my prairie trail tacky but not so much to force me to run the streets. Running the trails beats pounding the pavement which is light years above tromping on treadmills. Even God avoids treadmills. The full moon had not yet set in the west as the sun brightened the eastern horizon and every bird in Yellowstone County cheerfully announced the arrival of another spring day. Meadowlarks and rooster pheasants were especially talkative, with sharp tails and Huns speaking only when flushed from cover. For 45 minutes, it was just me and God in His magnificent creation and this is exactly why I am a runner. Once home, I shower, grab breakfast, and then zip to the clinic to enthusiastically attack another day. My morning endorphins completely erase yesterday’s headaches like a freshly shaken Etch-A-Sketch, but my euphoria fades after lunch. Such is my sunrise in Montana.

Benjamin Franklin held a similar optimistic view of sunrises, but if his portraits properly depict his waistline, he was probably not a runner. Benjamin was wise beyond his years and America would not be the crown jewel of liberty save his influence. Upon the successful conclusion of the Constitutional Convention, Mr. Franklin referred to the sun carved in President Washington’s armchair and said, “I have often looked at that (the sun) behind the president without being able to tell whether it was rising or setting. But now I know it is a rising sun.” America’s sunrise began in 1787 and beamed for 234 years, but sadly today, evil conspirators are forcing the American sun to set, which is my point.

America haters now control all three branches of our federal government, most bureaucracies, academia, the entertainment cartel, big tech, military brass, and the media. If natural rights, liberty, and limited government were Franklin’s sunrise, progressive’s critical race theory brings America’s sunset. Free-market capitalism allowed millions of the unwashed to lift themselves from poverty and this infuriates the ruling class because pitting the poor against the rich works only if the poor stay where they are put. Critical race theory divides our nation into the oppressed and the oppressor and it is a lie. By me praising a founder and our great experiment in freedom while demeaning critical race theory is blasphemy to the left’s woke, perpetually offended looters. If the scant few patriots still standing let these evil, Marxist forces succeed, the sun about which Franklin referenced will set, the republic dies and socialism triumphs. Critical race theory must be eliminated.

The most effective, safest and cheapest drug combating Covid-19 is ivermectin, an over-the-counter parasiticide used for decades in animals and humans. However, treating a dying Covid-19 patient with ivermectin is off label, so many doctors resist using it. Case in point: Recently, an 81-year-old New York man with Covid-19 was on a ventilator and dying. His trophy wife obtained a judgement forcing the hospital to administer ivermectin and he was off the ventilator after a single dose. The hospital refused to give a second dose because suppressing effective treatments allows the elite to continue hyping the pandemic and promote their “free” shot. Keeping the panic alive through election season enabled leftists to alter ballot outcomes so expect to see the scam extend to 2022 and beyond. The death of a few unwashed is just a cost of business to advance socialism for the greater good. As expected, ivermectin is disappearing from shelves in 2021 faster than toilet paper did in 2020.
