Weapons of War

It was a Thursday. Mr. Brown tried to capture the attention of his students, but the hot July weather made teaching school especially challenging. While his attention was focused on a student’s work, four hooligans barged into the classroom and struck Mr. Brown on the back of his head. When he regained consciousness, he begged the intruders to spare the lives of his twelve young pupils. The perpetrators lacked mercy. Enoch Brown was shot and scalped as were 10 students under his care. Two survived to tell the story of America’s first school shooting and this occurred in 1764 near what would become Greencastle, Pennsylvania. This heinous assault killed 11 victims using muzzleloaders and hand tools, so obviously, the fault lies in the heart of man rather than his weapon of choice. Before you reflexively jump on today’s gun control bandwagon, let’s take a hard look at the data to discover which weapons of war pose the greatest threat to school children.

Marxists and their advocates blame gun violence on the AR-15 mostly because it looks so scary, plus they believe AR stands for assault rifle. It does not. Armalite developed their AR-15 in 1956 and sold its manufacturing rights to Colt in 1959. The US military adopted this rifle in 1962 and designated it the M16. It has been standard issue for 60 years yet has killed far less compared to the SP-21 which has been in use for a mere 18 months.

The pointy end of the SP-21 began killing victims immediately upon its government emergency use authorization. While bodies were piling up, heartless bureaucrats insisted people were unexpectedly dying of natural causes and there was nothing to see here. To prove the SP-21 was safe the authorities shot college students, then high school students and now the pre-K crowd. However, a recent Israeli study shows adolescent victims surviving a deltoid hit from a SP-21 have a 1 in 3000 chance their lives will be shortened by myocarditis. Compare the numbers: With 30 million children shot by the SP-21, 10,000 will prematurely succumb to heart disease compared to the 274 school shooting victims since the 1764 Greencastle massacre. The SP-21, the Stroke Poke-21, is the true weapon of war which should be banned yet government strongly recommends its use wherever they lack the power to mandate it. Gun control advocates are liars, they are evil and they must be defeated.
