Sighting In Your Rock

Since its October in Montana, many folks have spent time at the rifle range tuning their favorite caliber for premium performance.  Nothing builds excitement for hunting season like sighting your rifle and sharpening your knife.  It’s a proud tradition that confuses the anti-gun liberals.   

 I am a hunter and I rip open each new issue of American Hunter to read the “How-To” articles that improve your success in the field.  Did you read the November ‘06 issue?  The insert article on page fifty contained valuable information that does far more than guarantee your success in the field…it tells you how to protect your right to get there.  This month NRA’s American Hunter magazine grades and endorses the candidates seeking office in the Montana legislature.  I was endorsed with an “A” rating.  My opponent was not endorsed and earned a “C-“.

 Let that soak in for a moment.  Our Second Amendment rights exist because there is an organization like the NRA that fights gun-control liberals every day.  Beware; the anti-gun crowd won’t kick down your door to get your guns.  You will give them away without firing a shot…it happens with every election. 

 Overtime, if you fill county offices, state legislatures, and Washington with “C-”, “D”, and “F” extremists you will quietly surrender your Second Amendment rights all the time thinking you are voting pro-gun.  That scares me.  Montana must have “A” representatives. 

Once firearms are removed, knives, spears, and bows will be confiscated next.  The gun control extremists can’t trust we little people with weapons.  Ever think how your life will change?  Montana’s hunting season will look different once we are down to throwing rocks; they are a bugger to sight in.
