Why This Grandpa is Pro-Life

Have you ever been so happy that you just dropped what you were doing and danced around in a circle? Last weekend I attended the Montana Veterinary Conference in Kalispell so I was able to spend a few evenings with my two granddaughters who have recently moved to the northwest corner of the state. Staying in a motel with a pool is always a special treat for kids, so my granddaughters joined us for a swim.
Skipping down the hall sporting her new swimsuit Clara, the three-year-old, jerked to a halt and started dancing in a circle. Mae, the 16-month old who was a few steps behind, stopped and started dancing as well. I know Mae had no clue what all the excitement was about, but by watching her sister, she was pretty sure it was worth dancing about.
After a few circles, off they went. Now, as a grandpa, walking behind those two little butts shuffling down the hall, I was both thrilled and heart-sickened by the joy of the moment. Of the three million American babies who died from an abortion in the years my Clara and Mae were born, how many would have danced at a chance to go swimming with their grandpas?
